5. I Am Moving & Travelling Man
I don't know why I have been moving so often since I was born in Osaka. I try to figure out the reason. It is probably related to my birth.
In Japan, it has been a common sence for long time that 1st son so called "CHONAN" is very important to keep family name for the following generations from parenets' standpoint. 2nd son so called "JINAN" is kind of substitute. I was born as 2nd son. But I like it. No matter what you think, I really like it. Because I have been able to be nature boy basically for all my life even now. My brother is 2 years older than me and I respect him a lot. His personality is totally different from mine, simply speaking he is very conservative. I am sure that he has got plenty of pressures and concerns to keep "MUKAI" family as nature of Japanese family style. He had never left parents house until last year.
On the other hand, I was like a "Typical 2nd Son" and was doing whatever I liked to do specially when I was teen. Basic personality and nature of myself had been grown during these days. I loved Japanese Calligraphy, Illustration, Soccer, Band and etc. I loved to have as many as friends possible. I didn't like to stay at home so much and wanted to be away from quiet life.
The turning point was when I was 12 years old. Based on parents' excellent decision, I didn't go to public Jr. High but to private Jr. High and high school. After that, I entered Shiga University which is away from home. I started my own private life without parents since then.
It was exciting moment because everything seemed to me "New" and "Freedom". I tried to cook dinner myself and I loved it. I started soccer more seriously in a club(but I could not get regular position at last). My music scene became exciting and started live performances in various places such as some festivals at girls' universities(I tried to be cool, man!). I visited ABC, 1 of the large broadcasting companies, for the audition to be a regular DJ of the mid-night program and I got it. There were so many exciting things happened for only short time as 4 years.
I was really lucky to have these days which gave me strong energy and confidence as "What A Wonderful Thing To Live". This basis always tells me "Yoshi, Keep on moving! Keep on going! Keep on running(I love the song titled this, by the way)! Keep on being nature boy!"
That's the fundamental reason why I
have been moving and travelling so much, now I understand.
